EYP Summer CAMP 2025

Join us for our 4th annual EYP Summer Camp!  We will offer free breakfast and lunch, tutoring by certified teachers, field trips and more! 


Ages: 5 - 12 years old

Date: June 2nd - July 18th, 2025

Time: Monday - Friday (8 to 4pm) 

Extended care - 7am to 6pm 

Location: Hope Preparatory Academy

Prices

$20 Registration Fee - non-refundable


 

Weekly Camp Fee: $75 per week per camper
 

  • Hours: 8am to 4pm 
  • Family Discount: Families with 4 campers will receive a $10 discount on the fourth camper each week
     

Extended Care (Optional): additional $45 per camper per week
 

  • Drop off early (7am) & Pick up (6pm)
  • Extended Care Discount: Families with 4 campers will also receive a $10 discount on the fourth camper’s extended care
     

Flexible Attendance: If your child does not attend camp during a specific week, you will not be charged for that week
 

Payment Schedule: All payments are due on Mondays at the start of each camp week

Chief Summer Camp Counselor

   

The Chief Camp Counselor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for campers, and leading a team of camp staff. This individual will play a key role in program development, staff supervision, and overall camp management while fostering a positive and enriching experience for all participants.


$16 per hour 


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, recreation, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in camp leadership, youth programming, or a similar role preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and manage high-energy environments.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp begins).
  • Background check and fingerprinting required.
  • Passion for working with youth and fostering a positive camp culture.

Schedule & Compensation

  •  6 hour shifts (Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM).

Summer Scholar Tutor

 

Empowering Young People is seeking certified teachers in Lake County to serve as Summer Scholar Tutors for our 2025 EYP Summer Camp program. Tutors will facilitate small group sessions focused on reading, writing, and math using a provided curriculum. This role is not for new instruction; instead, tutors will help scholars retain and reinforce knowledge gained during the previous school year.


$35.00 per hour 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging and supportive reading, writing, and math review sessions.
     
  • Follow the provided curriculum to guide student learning and ensure consistency.
     
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging environment that supports academic confidence and retention.
     
  • Monitor student participation and provide constructive feedback.
     
  • Communicate any academic or behavioral concerns to the Camp Director.
     
  • Participate in brief staff meetings or trainings as needed.
     


Qualifications:

  • Florida teaching certification (Lake County preferred).
     
  • Experience teaching or tutoring elementary and/or middle school students.
     
  • Passion for youth development and student success.
     
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
     
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and maintain a professional demeanor.


Schedule & Compensation

  •  2 hour shifts (Monday – Thursday , 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM).
